Every day, 78 Americans die from an opioid-related overdose.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) have all called for a shift away from opioid use toward non-pharmacologic approaches to address chronic pain.
To focus on the steps we can take to prevent the misuse and abuse of these powerful medications, the chiropractic profession is presenting the facts about the clinical and financial value that the safe, drug-free chiropractic approach presents for those battling back, neck and musculoskeletal pain.
In order to touch the lives of every consumer in the U.S. with the message that chiropractic is a safer strategy than opioids, the F4CP developed a campaign: ‘Save Lives. Stop Opioid Abuse. Choose Chiropractic.’ which is educational and supportive of consumers who are struggling with chronic pain. Conservative, drug-free care, specifically chiropractic, is a primary option for pain management yielding improved clinical outcomes, reduced costs and high levels of patient satisfaction.

Please Give Now
A multitude of health care professions, including physical therapists, doctors of osteopathy, massage therapists and acupuncturists, have implemented multi-million dollar campaigns to position their professions as the primary resources for non-pharmacological pain management.
We cannot let other professions tackle this issue – chiropractic must be positioned at the forefront of pain management, and we need help.
As a professional in the chiropractic community, please consider donating to a cause that will help to advance your profession and contribute to saving the thousands of lives that fall victim to opioid-related deaths each year.
