Congratulations to Dr. Ray Foxworth for being honored as a 2015 Person of the Year by the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP). A DC Aligned contributor, Dr. Foxworth, along with Dr. Evan Gwilliam, the other recipient, are both “exceptional leaders in the field of chiropractic and, through their companies and programs, have helped to raise tens of thousands of dollars for research and guideline creation for the chiropractic profession,” according to CCGPP Chairman Dr. Greg Baker.
Dr. Foxworth is President and Founder of ChiroHealthUSA, a provider-owned network of healthcare professionals working in conjunction with a Discount Medical Plan Organization to provide chiropractic care to patients in need at a price they can afford. Through ChiroHealthUSA, Dr. Foxworth ensures the best in chiropractic care by using the information compiled by CCGPP to educate the thousands of providers in his network on chiropractic best practices.
In addition, Dr. Foxworth is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and a three-term past president of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association. He was appointed to the Mississippi State Board of Health by Governor Kirk Fordice and again by Governor Ronnie Musgrove. He is the first Chiropractor ever appointed to the Board, where he also served two years as Chairman.
CCGPP was formed in 1995 by the leading national chiropractic organizations to examine existing guidelines, parameters, protocols and best practices with a chiropractic lens, to provide consistent and widely adopted chiropractic practice information, and to perpetually distribute and update the data so that practitioners, consumers and others have reliable information on which to base informed health care decisions.
