Dr. Rick Bishop earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Big East Championship baseball team in 1994, earning the Bell Atlantic Scholar Athlete Award that same year. Following graduation from Pitt, Dr. Bishop earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC. and his CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Practioner) certification from New York Chiropractic College.

As a CCSP, Dr. Bishop has had the opportunity to work with athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. He is the Director of the PBCS (Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society). He is also the treating chiropractor for the visiting teams at PNC Park in Pittsburgh as well as the chiropractic consultant for numerous teams in Major League Baseball when they travel into Pittsburgh. Dr. Bishop has served as the official chiropractor for the annual Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation golf tournament held at the Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Maryland and has been the treating chiropractor for numerous events hosted by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA).

His love of music has also given him the opportunity to combine his passion of both chiropractic and music together where he can be found backstage at a number of concert venues and festivals. He has provided care to some of the biggest names in Christian music, such as Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Matthew West, Tenth Avenue North, Kutless, Fire Flight, Sanctus Real, For King and Country as well as many others.

Dr. Bishop is a member of Pro Sport Chiropractic, the ACA Sports Council (ACASC), USSCF (The United States Sports Chiropractic Federation) and the MLBPAA (Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association).
