Dr. Lisa Goodman founded Washington Park Chiropractic in Denver in 2006. She is married and has two young boys, Tommy and Nate. Dr. Goodman is an avid golfer and soccer player. She is a former Division I Rower at the University of Miami.
Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) Dr. Goodman holds this post-graduate certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicans (ACBSP). This credential is earned after meeting the rigors of a world-class credentialing process that ensures certified sports chiropractors meet competency standards to effectively work with and treat athletes and those engaged in athletic activities. CCSPs complete 15-30 hours annually of continuing education and research seminars including the latest scientific knowledge, treatment trends, and best practices for patient care. Dr. Goodman is trained in side-line care and clinical care of athletes. She is proficient in concussion evaluation & treatment and sports injury management. Our doctors often work side-by-side with orthopedic physicians to co-manage serious injuries including post-surgical rehabilitation. While skilled in treating all sports injuries, Dr. Goodman’s areas of special interest include foot, ankle, knee and wrist injuries.
Pediatric Chiropractic Dr. Goodman is certified in Pediatric Chiropractic by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice (CACCP) and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). As a CACCP trained doctor, she works closely with pediatricians to co-mange many common childhood complaints as well as serious bio-mechanical conditions. As a pediatric chiropractor she is trained to treat kids from birth through High School.
Prenatal Chiropractic Dr. Goodman is also certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in the Webster Technique, used to treat pregnant women and help with optimal fetal positioning for an uncomplicated delivery.
Graston & FAKTR Techniques
Dr. Goodman is one of few chiropractors in the Denver area to utilize the soft tissue Graston Technique to treat chronic and acute muscle and ligament conditions. As a Level 3 provider, she is an expert in treating ailments including tendonitis, shoulder impingement, “frozen shoulder,” rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints and sprains and strains. She also practices the FAKTR, or Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab, Provocation and Motion technique which ultiziles the Graston Technique in a variety of advanced methods including provoking pain, resistance, weight bearing and balance. FAKTR can be used for complicated, chronic or acute soft tissue injuries

Dr. G the Athlete
Dr. Goodman is an avid golfer and she is currently the captain of the Team Wash Park Chiro coed recreational soccer team. Dr. G participated in her first Triathlon in 2012. As a former varsity rower for the University of Miami Hurricanes, Dr. Goodman recognizes the importance of maintaining peak physical conditioning and avoiding surgery at all cost. Dr. Goodman stresses that athletes of all skill levels must:
◦ Know how to recognize injury at the earliest stages
◦ Know what to do immediately upon becoming injured on the field or at home
◦ Know how to prevent injury with proper conditioning, taping and bracing, nutrition and chiropractic care
◦ Know when to ask for help when a nagging injury is not responding to home remedies
Giving Back
After losing her dad, Tom Kingsbury, to Pancreatic Cancer in 2007, Dr. Goodman launched The Kingsbury Golf Open to benefit Pancreatic Cancer Research and Treatment.
