Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Integrated Movement Chiropractic Seminar

Exploration and integration of movement theory and manual techniques to improve the way we move and prepare to move. This workshop will be a combination of lecture and hands on participation. Expect to move!

Target audience: Movers!!!  Chiropractors, Osteopaths, PT’s, ATC’s, Acupuncturist, Strength & Conditioning Specialist, coaches, body work therapists, exercise physiologists & kinesiologists, Movement specialist (Dance,Yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonics)

Presenters include:

  • Michael Rintala, D.C. – Developmental Kinesiology and its influence on intrinsic locomotor system stabilization. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and developmental kinesiology perspective of movement acquisition and utilization.
  • Tim Brown, D.C. – Athletes Treating Athletes: Hands on SPRT taping and combining movement with soft tissue release.
  • Peter Park – Experience the basic application of  Foundation Training as it applies to daily living, performance and rehabilitation. Understand the benefits re-educating the axial skeleton, decompression breathing theory and practice, and rotational imbalances that impact structural integrity in this dynamic presentation.
  • Alvaro Romano – Founder and creator of the Ginastica Natural® method, Alvaro Romano possesses a post-graduate degree in physical education and recreation and authored the book Ginastica Natural (Press Publishing House, 1987).
  • Brandon McGill has been involved with STACK Sports Performance since 2010 and was named Director of Sports Performance in July, 2014. Brandon leads sports performance program development for STACK Sports Performance Training and is responsible for adoption and support of STACK Sports Performance training methodology and sports medicine program integration. In addition, he provides performance coach recruitment, education and training across the network. A performance coach since 2005, Brandon has coached developmental and elite professional, collegiate, and Olympic athletes in four countries. He holds a Masters in Strength and Conditioning from The University of Edinburgh.

    9am – 9:30am – Brandon Mcgill: Interdisciplinary approach to Care and Training

    9:30 am – 11am – Michael Rintala: Developmental Kinesiology and its influence on intrinsic locomotor system stabilization. A Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and developmental kinesiology perspective of movement acquisition and utilization.
